Welcome to my Yoga Page!

A little about my Yoga Journey so far.. 

I found Yoga at a time in my life when I was looking for help to manage some anxiety.  I found myself drawn to classes to learn more about how use my breath to help calm my mind and body.  Even though I initially started taking yoga classes for the calming aspect of it, I was also starting to notice that it was helping me as a dancer physically .. as well as keeping my body feeling good when not in the dance studio.   

 In 2018 I decided I wanted to learn more and be able to share all the benefits of yoga with others, so I did my 200 hr yoga certification training in Cocoa Beach Florida at the Full Circle Yoga School.

  Since 2018 I have had the opportunity to teach in a wide variety of ways to share these benefits.  I especially felt grateful while working with people during Covid, as I felt I could provide some connection and stress release, while also helping to keep our bodies moving. 

My experience teaching yoga since 2018 includes: 

 * Corporate Yoga Classes Online and In Person

 * Group Classes at a Yoga Studio 

 * Group Classes for Residents at a Condo Building

 * Private Lessons Online

 * Organizing my own Beach Yoga   

 * Organizing my own Group Classes in Person and   Online

 * Teaching Yoga to Dance Students at Various   Dance Schools and Dance Intensives 

 

My Yoga classes are for All Levels and are a mix of Hatha and Vinyasa style yoga.  They focus on finding breath with movement, and finding length and space in the body, while using the poses to help strengthen the body. I focus on finding what works and feels good for you, rather than trying to achieve a certain look of a pose.  I also love to provide some time for breath work and letting go of stress and tension in the body at the start of class .. and again at the end before Savasana.
