About Me..

I am a professional ballet dancer with a professional performing career that spans over 20 years.  During that time, I had the privilege of performing all over the United States and Internationally, including 6 years with the Joffrey Ballet here in Chicago.

 

Before dancing with Joffrey Ballet, I danced with the Pacific Northwest Ballet in Seattle for 8 years, and then danced with the Cincinnati Ballet as a Senior Soloist. 

After my time at the Joffrey Ballet, I moved to Madrid and spent an incredible year living and touring throughout Spain with the Victor Ullate Ballet Company. After finishing my dancing in Spain, I returned to the United States to continue performing as a freelance guest artist getting to travel and perform all over the USA as well as in

South Korea. 

Yoga found me at a time in my life when I needed it for the mindfulness aspect of the practice, but I realized in the process, that it was also helping to improve my dancing.  In 2018, I decided I wanted to teach yoga and go deeper into the practice.  I did my Hatha/Vinyasa Yoga training with the Full Circle Yoga School in Cocoa Beach, FL where I received my 200 Hr Yoga Teacher Certification. 

 I have been teaching and coaching ballet students all over the United States and here in Chicago, including working with the Studio Company/ Trainee students at the Joffrey Ballet Academy. I am also currently the Company Ballet Teacher for the beautiful dancers of Ensemble Español in Chicago.

 

Along with teaching ballet, I also teach yoga to all levels of adult students, ballets students, and corporate wellness yoga.

I enjoy being able to combine my extensive dance experience with my yoga training to share the joy of movement, and the incredible benefits mentally and physically that yoga and dance have given to me. 

 

Besides teaching, I have been working as a freelance rehearsal director, helping to re-stage and rehearse ballets. I enjoy working on cleaning the dance pieces, coaching the dancers, and helping to work out all of the small details it takes to get a performance ready for the stage!
